In these days of watered-down comedy, Nick Di Paolo’s brutally truthful performances remind us that stand-up should be funny, socially relevant, and a little bit reckless. Di Paolo began his career in his hometown of Boston and two years later, made the jump to New York, where his seething, sarcastic style was more than welcome. His uncompromising style quickly earned him the label “a comic’s comic” and other newbies would look to him as a model for success. He was twice nominated for an Emmy for his writing on The Chris Rock Show, has taped three half-hour specials on Comedy Central, and was a regular on Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn. Also, not surprisingly, he’s a natural fit for talk radio, having appeared on Howard Stern and Opie and Anthony.
