Paul Provenza
Paul has been recognized in the world of TV, theater and stand-up comedy for more than two decades as a true comedy maven. An accomplished comedian, classically trained actor and innovative filmmaker, he was born and raised in New York City. By the age of 16, he was already writing and performing stand-up comedy and heading for the stage of the legendary original New York Improv. His ensuing career has gone back and forth between acting and stand-up comedy. Provenza is a festival veteran, having appeared at Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival multiple times, as well as HBO's Aspen Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He travels the world, seeking out new and exciting comedy, so it's fitting that he directed and co-produced (with Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller) the unique and controversial documentary The Aristocrats, a virtual "Who's Who" of comedy stars across the spectrum. Yes, that means he's heard that jokes more times than probably anyone on the planet. Paul is presently completing !Satirists!, a major book project with noted art/portrait photographer, Dan Dion.
Note: Paul Provenza's Saturday performance of Green Room with Paul Provenza has been canceled. Please confirm the lineup of each show before completing your ticket purchase. All talent and shows are scheduled to appear and subject to change.
