Maria Bamford
What loveably eccentric comic earned a "Best of the Web" nod from Salon.com for her web series The Maria Bamford Show? What entertainer is one of Variety's Top Ten Comics to Watch and was voted by Comedy Central viewers as one of their Top Ten Favorite Comics? What comic has appeared on both Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion radio show and in Dave Eggers' DVD magazine, Wholphin? Well, since you're reading Maria Bamford's bio, we guess you're in the know. Maria started her performing arts career at the age of 11 in an elementary school play. A short 24 years of self-discovery and secretarial work later, Maria is the first female comic to have two half-hour Comedy Central Presents specials. She was featured on The Comedians of Comedy and stars in Adult Swim's Tim and Eric: Awesome Show and its upcoming spinoff, Check It Out. She is currently working on a (funny) book about depression and mental illness, and her new CD, Unwanted Thoughts Syndrome was recently released by Comedy Central Records.
All talent and shows are scheduled to appear and subject to change.
